Cuando decidimos movernos
del D.F. al pueblo, le pedí a uno de mis hermanos que es arquitecto me hiciera
el estudio y de manera muy atinada me construyó un gran espacio muy lindo con
una hermosa bóveda de ladrillo.
When we decided to move from Mexico City to this little town, I asked one of my brothers, who is an architect, to make me the studio. And very wisely, he built for me a beautiful big space with a lovely brick vault.
El librero lo basé en el
diseño de un arquitecto mexicano, alumno de Luis Barragán y que tristemente
olvidé su nombre. Todos los muebles se hicieron dentro del estudio, excepto dos
de las mesas de trabajo. Con el tiempo se ha ido modificando hasta ser un
estudio-taller.
I based the bookseller on a Mexican architect design, he was a Luis Barragán student but sadly I forgot his name. All the furniture was made inside the studio, except for two of the working tables. With time it has been modified until it became a studio-workshop.
Esta mesa me la traje del
D.F. y es para encuadernar. Siempre tengo mis espacios repletos de chácharas.
I brought this table from Mexico City and it is for binding. I always have my working spaces full of things.
